SPF Record Checker

Validate your SPF record, check DNS lookup limits, and get recommendations to optimize your email authentication.

What is SPF?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication method that specifies which mail servers are authorized to send email on behalf of your domain.

When a receiving mail server gets an email, it checks the SPF record in DNS to verify that the sending server is authorized. This helps prevent email spoofing and improves deliverability.

The 10 DNS Lookup Limit

SPF has a limit of 10 DNS lookups. Each "include", "a", "mx", and "redirect" mechanism counts toward this limit. Exceeding it causes SPF to return a permanent error, which can hurt your email deliverability.
